OUR STORY

A tradition turned community.

Bocce has always been more than just a game — it's about tradition, competition, and bringing people together. Bocce Social is built on that foundation, inspired by a lifelong passion for the sport that started decades ago with Mike Lisi Sr.

A game in progress at the club

The story begins when a 16-year-old Mike Lisi Sr. first experienced bocce in his future father-in-law's backyard. At every family gathering, the game was at the center of it all — friendly matches, competition, and laughter.

That love for bocce never faded. Years later, after moving into a new home, he built his first court — a small setup that has now stood strong for over 30 years.

In 2011, he took it a step further: a new house, a new court, and a new club — Franklin Square Bocce Club. What started as a way to bring friends and family together grew into a passionate community of players. Today, that same passion is turning into something even bigger — Bocce Social.

Membership philosophy.

Bocce Social operates as a private membership-based club. Members come and go as they please, with priority access to leagues and events. League play is optional — members can use the space in whatever way fits their lifestyle. We believe the best clubs are built on respect for the game, the space, and the people in it.
